Feeder must be installed in vertical position.
It is important to install a ball valve between the superior part of the feeder and the pressure tank and another one between the inferior part of the feeder and the suction of the pump. The check valve must not be installed between the pump and the pressure tank.
The correct operation of the feeder involves an aspiration of air of about 30 seconds to every starting of the pump. This optimal condition is obtained regulating the ball valve situated on the suction of the pump.
If in a system the pump is fed by a pressurized pipeline, it is necessary that the pressure in the autoclave is greater of about 1.5 times of that of the pump so that the feeder works regularly.
Everytime when the pump starts, a flow of the water from the pressure tank toward the suction of the pump croses the feeder and therefore the venturi situated in the brass union. In such way it is created, through the suction valve, a flow of air from outside that progressively replaces itself with the contained water in the feeder.
During the operation of the pump, as soon as water flows out and the feeder fills it self of air, the float goes down up to close the exit avoiding that the air is introduced in the suction of the pump.
Everytime when the pump stops itself, the water fills the feeder lifting the float while the air penetrates in the pressure tank.
The feeder is ready to perform the following cycle.
